Leadership Coaching provides awareness in to your own personal traits and behaviours as they relate to successful leadership. This leadership coaching adds a whole new dimension to the  programme, allowing you to extend your development in a personalised, reflective and actionable way.

This programme has been designed specifically to benefit your professional abilities in any leadership role. It is based on “The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership” as defined by James M. Kouzes & Barry Z. Posner.  Their book “The Leadership Challenge” will be the textbook for the programme.

This programme is about how you as a leader mobilise others to get extraordinary things done.  It is about you learning & developing the practices that successful leaders use to transform values into action, visions into realities, obstacles into innovation and risks into rewards.

Completing this programme will enable you make a positive difference in your workplace and create a climate where people will turn challenges into successes.


This programme is for Business Owners, Directors, Managers, Supervisors. It is for anyone responsible for managing a team of people or contemplating undertaking a leadership role. You want to improve business outcomes through effective people management, or are aspiring to move into a more senior management position. You may have no formal qualification in Leadership or Management, and you are eager to learn and grow personally and professionally. 

Programme Delivery

This programme will be delivered through 10 three-hour online sessions over 5 months. Participants must have access to a PC or laptop for each session. Phones are not suitable. Personalised Leadership Coaching offers deeper insight to your personal leadership traits, and all of the coaching sessions will be through zoom. This is an interactive programme and participants are invited to get involved in discussions for better learning opportunities.

Leadership Coaching

Leadership Coaching further develops your skills. You will receive a Leadership Profile report along with one feedback session and two coaching sessions, to bring awareness to your personal strengths and action for development specific to successful leaders. This reflective process further supports integrating learning from the course in to your professional life. Coaching adds a dynamic and personalised element to this programme.

This programme offers you an opportunity to:

- Reflect on the essential elements of leadership and to act in ways that incrementally create forward momentum.
- Think Beyond your personal agenda and imagine how your leadership efforts engage others’ desires.
- Involve others in the planning and the doing. Because you can’t do it alone.
- Gain deep awareness of your personal traits & behaviours as they relate to leadership through personalised coaching sessions.

ITOL Accredited Professional Certificate

On successful completion of the program, including 5 work assignments, participants will receive a digital “Professional Certificate in Leadership & Management”, accredited by the Institute of Training & Occupational Learning or better known as ITOL.

The Institute of Training and Occupational Learning is the UK’s elite professional body for trainers and Learning & Development Professionals. In the Year 2000 the UK government granted ‘Institute’s status and since that time ITOL have become recognized as the premier organization for everyone involved in the world of training and development.  ITOL provides clients with an assurance of quality in the design and delivery of all Programs.

Module 1: Model the Way

Module 3: Challenge the Process

Seize initiative through innovative ways to improve. Experiment and take risks by generating small wins and learning from experience.

Module 4: Enable Others to Act

Foster collaboration by building trust and facilitating relationships. Strengthen others by increasing self-determination and competence.

Module 5: Encourage the heart

Recognise contributions by showing appreciation for individual excellence. Celebrate the values and victories by creating a spirit of community.

Leadership Coaching

A Leadership Professional Profile report is the basis for an initial feedback session followed by two Leadership Coaching Sessions. Reflective & Action orientated.

Programme Information

The programme duration is over approx 6 months, starting at various times throughout the year. All sessions are from 9.30am to 12.30pm and are via zoom.
The content of this professional certificate programme has been carefully chosen to provide a comprehensive learning experience focused in team leading and management. 
This is an interactive learning experience, learners are encouraged to ask questions and share experiences to enhance this programme. There will be five short work assignments. 
There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be emerging or existing team leaders, or supervisors who have their sights set on a management role in the future. 
Leadership Coaching sessions are personalised and reflective. You will receive your Leadership Profile Report, providing a dynamic perspective for learners to become aware of their leadership traits for success.

Chris McDonagh

Chris McDonagh is the programme facilitator. Chris’s training methodologies injects a blend of positive energy and vibrant experiences throughout his training sessions. He is passionate about making a difference to people’s lives and thereby adding value to them both personally and professionally.
As a trainer, facilitator, and speaker he infuses his sessions with sincerity, dynamism and humour urging learners to go the full distance in becoming their best they can be.
In his consultancy role Chris works with owners of SME enterprises in developing and growing their leadership and management teams through practical application.
In his 36 years training career Chris has designed, developed and delivered many innovative training programmes and has trained and coached in excess of 15,000 learners. Chris is currently a director and Chair Elect of IFTDO – The International Federation of Training & Development Organisations. Chris represents Europe on the Board.
